Saradiyel Village

          Saradiyel Village located near ‘Uthuwankanda’ is one of the best examples displaying Sri Lanka’s authenticity and history. The Uthuwankanda region became popular due to Sri Lanka’s Robin Hood using it as his base. Soora Saradiyel was a bandit who later became a gang Leader. He is regarded as a true hero of the poor as he robbed Rich merchants and shared his loot among the Poor. His gang consisted of some of his close friends including his best friend Mammalay Marikkar. He was caught 4 times and 3 times he managed to escape but was executed the 4th time after being betrayed by one of his gang members. The Village of Saradiyel has many statues and items made from Cement. Its almost lifelike, You will also get a tour guide who will explain every detail of Saradiyel Story.

Dambana Veddah Village

          The Veddhas are the indigenous Community of Sri Lanka. Dambana is a village located 300km away from Colombo. It is one of the jungle villages which is home to the Veddhas. Visiting this location would introduce you to the ways of the Veddha. You will be able to witness Traditional Dances and Songs performed by them, also the Huts the life in. The Veddha’s used to hunt for food using Bow and Arrows, but now they stick to cultivating crops due to hunting bans throughout the country. At the Present, there are about 2500 Veddhas in Sri Lanka and the Cheif of the Veddhas is Uruwarige Wannila Aththo; while visiting the village of dambana you can meet him.

          Ayurveda is a system of medicine developed during the ancient times of Sri Lanka. The name Ayurveda comes from ancient Sanskrit words conjoined together; ‘Ayuh’ means life and ‘ Veda’ means science.
