Ehelepola Walauwa

          The National Museum of Ratnapura was open on the 13th of May 1988. The museum building is called “Ehelepola Walauwa”, it is called this because this building once belonged to “ Ehelepola Nilam”, who was a Courtier of the kingdom of Kandy. This Museum has a massive collection of natural heritage exhibits, Zoological artifacts, an ancient Sri Lankan Weaponry.
